Responsibilities
Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of bus interiors, fuel buses, log trip counts and assist disabled passengers.
Be scheduled to work each day on time and in uniform.
Carry a valid state‑issued driver’s license and maintain an acceptable DMV record.
Courteously assist customers, answer questions, and direct to the Facility Manager if necessary.
Report accidents, violations, safety hazards, or any unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
Communicate debris, water, oil spills, and other hazards to the garage office.
Substitute for cashiers or valets when authorized.
Have thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage and major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area.
Assist customers with luggage and other traveling items when operating shuttle buses at an airport location.
Assist the Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
Qualifications Qualification Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/Experience Less than high school education or one month related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
License Requirement Required to have and maintain a valid state driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
DOT Medical Card A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
Availability to Work Special shift requirements, if any, will vary depending on a location's hiring needs. Availability to work 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.
Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and effectively present information in one‑on‑one situations to customers and other employees.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, use two‑digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s, and perform these operations with U.S. currency.
Appearance Maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times.
Physical Demands Stand, walk, and use hands to handle cash and equipment regularly; sit, climb, or balance occasionally; lift and/or move up to 75 pounds occasionally. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Salary and Benefits Salary Range: $17.47 per hour (+ tips). This role is eligible to earn tips in addition to the posted hourly rate.
