Base pay range $18.00/hr - $25.00/hr
Summary Little Learners Lodge, an independently owned school inspired by both RIE and Montessori principles, is seeking warm and dedicated Toddler Teachers who are looking for meaningful and rewarding work with young children. At our school, teachers are valued as professionals and nurturers, playing an essential role in creating an environment where toddlers can safely explore, grow, and thrive.
You’ll join a supportive and collaborative team of experienced mentors, educators, and families who share a deep respect for early childhood development. Our program emphasizes individualized care, fostering relationships, and honoring each child’s natural curiosity. Teachers are given the time and space to truly connect with a small group of toddlers, cultivating trust, security, and joyful discovery every day.

Duties
Sensitive Observation – observe children daily to inform physical care and play activities
Physical Care – provide respectful, present, and educational care during diapering, feeding, sleep, and transitions
Environmental Design – create safe, engaging play opportunities for children to freely explore and discover
Record Keeping – document attendance, care routines, and weekly reflections on children’s development
Communication – maintain professional, authentic communication with administration, co‑teachers, and families
Meal Preparation – support the community lunch program through preparation, serving, and clean‑up
Compliance – uphold ABC Quality and DHEC requirements in training, maintenance, and record keeping
Requirements
Passion for working with young children
Commitment to respectful caregiving and lifelong learning
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Experience in early childhood education is preferred, but we will train the right candidate
Nice To Haves
Cultural sensitivity and/or training
Bilingual abilities
Interests in culinary arts, music, and/or gardening
Experience working in schools or institutions
Benefits
$18–$20/hour for those new to the profession; $20–$25/hour for experienced infant specialists (well above industry standards)
