Assistant Toddler Teacher

An Education Management Company (LMIS) is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic
Assistant Toddler Teacher
to support the developmental needs of children ages 18 months to 3 years. The ideal candidate is patient, nurturing, and excited to help young children learn through hands‑on exploration in a supportive early childhood environment.

Responsibilities
Assist the Lead Teacher with implementing daily curriculum and activities.
Supervise and engage toddlers in developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
Support routines including feeding, diapering, and toilet training while maintaining proper hygiene.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom in compliance with licensing standards.
Observe children and communicate relevant updates to the Lead Teacher.
Promote a calm, positive, and respectful environment for all children.
Collaborate with staff to ensure consistent care and communication.
Maintain confidentiality and follow school policies and procedures.
Desired Experience
One year of experience working with toddlers or in a licensed childcare environment preferred.
Basic understanding of early childhood development or interest in learning Montessori‑based practices.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and participate actively in classroom and outdoor activities.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
CDA credential or Early Childhood coursework preferred but not required.
Must pass all required state background checks and fingerprinting.
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow direction while working as part of a team.
Compensation
Hourly rate: $16.50 to $19.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
