Responsibilities
Assist Project Engineers/Project Managers on field assignments, including boring layout and utility clearance.
Coordinate with drilling contractors, supervise drilling and geotechnical field investigations, and log borings and test pits.
Assist with laboratory testing assignments, compiling lab and field testing results.
Perform geotechnical engineering analyses under supervision, including soil/rock classification, slope stability, earth retention systems, shallow and deep foundation design, settlement, ground improvement, and geologic hazard evaluation.
Prepare and submit geotechnical reports.
Qualifications
4–6 years of geotechnical engineering or geology experience.
Positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently managing multiple tasks.
Ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Willingness to travel 60%–70% of the time.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geological, Mining Engineering, or Geology.
Master’s in Geotechnical Engineering/Geology considered a plus.
