Staff Geotechnical Professional – Kleinfelder

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist Project Engineers/Project Managers in field assignments, including boring layout and utility clearance.
Coordinate with drilling contractors, supervise drilling, and manage geotechnical field investigations.
Log borings and test pits, and compile lab and field testing results.
Perform geotechnical engineering analyses under supervision, including soil/rock classification, slope stability analysis, earth retention systems, shallow and deep foundation design, settlement, ground improvement, and geologic hazard evaluation.
Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
Positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks.
Ability to work independently or with a team in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Effective communication with peers, supervisors, clients, and subcontractors.
60% to 70% travel required.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geological, or Mining Engineering, or Geology.
MS Geotechnical Engineering/Geology is a plus.
