Behavior Technician

Provide 1-1 Applied Behavior Analytics (ABA) services to clients, as designed and supervised by BCBA. This includes implementing treatment plans, prompt data collection, and progress monitoring.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board within 6 months of hire.
State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field
RBT credential or BCaBA credential
Experience
One (1) year providing treatment to with young children with autism
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 direct client therapy using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
Follow behavioral skills acquisition and behavior reduction protocols developed by certified staff.
Implement toilet training protocols.
Collect and record data on observable client behavior.
Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding child's daily performance as directed by BCBA.
Maintain client confidentiality according to HIPAA laws.
Create therapeutic materials.
Maintain a clean and safe work space.
Collaborate with a treatment team.
Commit to ongoing training and development, such as RBT certification.
Interpret written clinical protocols.
Share in the responsibility for daily cleaning and maintenance of client workspace and clinic as a whole.
Pass training competencies tailored to the specific needs of assigned clients. Methods including but not limited to role play, verbal communication, coaching and feedback.
Physical Requirements
Ability to be on feet/walking extended periods.
Ability to lift, push, and/or pull 40 pounds.
Ability to get up and down from floor or small chairs while instructing or playing with small children
Working Environment
Work is performed in a clinical outpatient environment.
Skills and Abilities
Must be ambitious and self-motivated.
Must like and be comfortable with change.
Must be comfortable collaborating with attending physicians.
Must be well organized.
Must possess efficient time management skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Understanding of medical terminology.
Ability to respond quickly to varying demands from provider and patient.
Must be able to work well as part of a team.
Maintain professional boundaries.
Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and related skills.
