Industrial Welder - 2nd Shift Join the Industrial Welder – 2nd Shift role at Eaton

Work Schedule Core hours 2:30pm – 11:00pm. Hourly rate $21.94 + $1.20 shift differential.

What You’ll Do

Set up, understand and proficiently operate all welding equipment.

Troubleshoot equipment problems.

Identify and tag shop orders, retrieve/enter data into the system.

Ensure quality and proper documentation on all parts.

Maintain components and supplies for efficient operation.

Weld components based on print specifications.

Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.

Basic (Required) Qualifications

Minimum one (1) year MIG and TIG welding experience.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX (Active Duty Military exempt).

Eaton will not support immigration sponsorship for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

AWS Weld Certified.

Minimum 2-3 years MIG/TIG Welding.

Minimum one (1) year utilizing blueprints (AWS weld symbols) and measuring tools.

Basic computer skills.

Position Criteria

Solid math skills; analytical and reasoning skills.

Working knowledge of weld operations, including MIG, TIG of stainless steel and/or aluminum.

Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally to frequently (33‑66%) up to 75 lbs.

Ability to stand for eight hours plus and perform repetitious tasks.

Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools.

Ability to follow directions, work independently, close attention to detail.

Teamwork – assemble an entire product or component.

Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate.

Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays, as needed.

PPE required – safety glasses, steel‑toe shoes, leather gloves, hearing protection.

Work environment – exposure to sharp objects, pinch points, oil, sparks.
