you will empower students to discover their potential and pursue excellence, academically, personally, and spiritually, through high‑quality teaching and authentic care. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional collaborator and team player, with deep Spanish language knowledge, strong proficiency, and a commitment to fostering cultural understanding and effective language acquisition across grade levels. Candidates should be organized, detail oriented, and experienced in developing lesson plans.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate, standards‑aligned Spanish instruction for high school students.
Foster language acquisition, cultural understanding, and communication skills through engaging, interactive lessons.
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs, using data to guide planning.
Monitor, assess, and document student learning through formative and summative assessments.
Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and administrators to align instruction and participate in school‑wide initiatives.
Seek opportunities to integrate Biblical truth and faith‑based values into lessons.
Maintain a safe, organized, and nurturing classroom environment.
Manage classroom behavior consistently, promoting integrity and respect.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
Serve as a cultural and spiritual role model for students and families.
Participate in professional development and school events.
Monitor and support students during arrival, lunch, recess, and dismissal.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s a plus). State teaching license preferred but not required.
Active participation in a Christian church.
Proficiency in Spanish with strong communication and instructional skills.
Knowledge of age‑appropriate language acquisition strategies and cultural instruction.
Strong classroom management, organization, and multitasking skills.
Commitment to a positive, student‑centered learning environment.
Openness to professional development and continuous improvement.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Team player committed to the St. Augustine Preparatory mission and model.
