Cut Shop Technician
Fulcrum Technologies, Inc. has been designing and manufacturing custom machine bases for vibration-sensitive production tools used in semiconductor fabrication for more than two decades. Position Overview As a Cut Shop Technician, you will be responsible for cutting metal components to precise specifications, preparing materials, and performing various shop tasks to support our production process.
Day shift : 8-hour days, 5:00 am – 1:30 am, M-F.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately perform metal cutting according to specifications and CAD drawings.
Read and interpret measuring tools such as tape measures.
Prepare materials through grinding and light welding work.
Drill, tap, and countersink holes based on CAD drawing requirements.
Perform general shop labor and mechanical assembly tasks.
Participate in all safety training and adhere to safety protocols.
Work in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven ability to use and read measuring tools accurately.
Reliable, positive, and strong work ethic with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
Ability to interpret shop drawings, including weld symbols.
Strong layout and math skills.
Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Proficiency with hand tools and hand-held power tools.
Ability to routinely lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs.
Commitment to wearing required PPE while on the manufacturing floor.
Preferred Skills
Experience operating horizontal band saws and drill presses.
Basic welding and tacking skills.
Familiarity with both metric and imperial measuring systems.
