About This Role
The Department of Finance in the College of Business Administration (CBA) at Kansas State University is seeking applicants for an Instructor position in the Finance area. The candidate will be responsible for teaching and service activities within the Department. The role will be roughly 80% teaching and 20% service.
Teaching: The desired area of teaching expertise is investments, corporate finance, or related subjects. The final teaching assignment will reflect the strengths of the candidate.
Service: The individual selected will also be expected to demonstrate a commitment to collegiality and shared governance. As a part of this role, the individual will undertake service for the benefit of the department or college, such as being as a advisor to a student organization, participating in academic events, engaging with students, alumni, and corporations as a representative of the department, and/or serving on departmental or college committees as needed.

What You’ll Need to Succeed Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must hold an MBA (preferred), a Master of Accountancy (MAcc or MSA), or a Masters in a field similar to finance (if MBA, it must be from an AACSB-accredited university).
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior university teaching experience in finance or a related field.
Relevant work experience in finance or a related industry.
Demonstrated ability to communicate financial concepts to an audience of students or practitioners.
Commitment to understanding the perspectives of others both in the classroom and when collaborating with colleagues.
Sponsorship eligibility:
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
