Overview The College of Continuing Education (CCE) offers academically grounded non‑credit courses, contract education, certificates, credentials, graduate programs, and more. Instructors/Facilitators design, deliver, and manage training, engagement sessions, and program administration for adult learners and diverse organizations throughout California.

Responsibilities

Design and develop comprehensive programs, lessons, and materials for synchronous and asynchronous environments.

Deliver training, programs, or services using approved curriculum.

Facilitate interactive and engaging sessions for diverse audiences.

Assess learner understanding and adjust instructional plans as needed.

Collaborate with CCE and clients on organizational development solutions.

Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry trends and best practices.

Perform required administrative duties.

Other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and/or relevant professional certification. Each year of required education may be substituted with one year of relevant experience.

Experience providing training and/or facilitation to adult audiences in classroom settings.

Expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design.

Strong andragogical practices for classroom organization, planning, and execution.

Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and dynamic presentation abilities.

Commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive learning environment.

Subject‑matter expertise in the specified content area.

For some assignments, an advanced or terminal degree may be required.

Example content areas: Leadership, Interpersonal Communications, Change Management, Conflict Management, Process Improvement, Project Management, Coaching and Mentoring.
