POSITION TITLE:
Instructor/Facilitator
Overview The College of Continuing Education (CCE) delivers academically grounded programs and services to diverse learners across California. Instructors/Facilitators design, develop, and deliver these programs, making continuing education a reality for adult and youth learners.
Responsibilities
Design and develop comprehensive programs and lesson plans for synchronous and asynchronous environments.
Deliver training and services using approved curriculum.
Facilitate interactive and engaging sessions for diverse organizations and learners.
Assess learner understanding and adjust plans as needed.
Collaborate with CCE and clients on organizational development solutions.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices related to the field of expertise.
Perform administrative duties as required.
Other duties may be assigned based on departmental needs.
Rank and Salary Hourly salary rates vary from $25.00/hour to $200.00/hour, determined by professional experience and educational background. Some offerings are paid based on course rank, unit quantity, and student enrollment.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or relevant professional certification. One year of relevant experience may substitute for each year of required education.
Experience providing training and/or facilitation to adult audiences in a classroom setting.
Experience and proven expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design.
Knowledge of strong andragogical practices for classroom organization, planning, and effective execution of instruction.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and dynamic presentation skills.
Commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work and learning environment.
Subject matter expertise in specific content area or discipline.
For some assignments: advanced degree and/or terminal degree in content area or related discipline.
Examples of content area experience include Leadership, Interpersonal Communications, Change Management, Conflict Management, Process Improvement, Project Management, and Coaching and Mentoring.
Preferred Qualifications
