Position
UAB Temp Services is seeking a Temp Researcher Assistant to contribute to the daily operations of research projects under the close supervision of experienced researchers. This role involves performing standard research tasks, including sample processing, basic data analysis, and maintaining accurate records. Your support will be crucial in helping senior team members execute complex protocols and ensuring the smooth functioning of the lab. Depending on the research focus, this position may involve research collaborator contact, research animal contact, and/or specimens.
Responsibilities
Assist in the setup and preparation of laboratory experiments and procedures.
Perform routine measures, tests, and/or assays following established protocols and procedures.
Collect, record, and analyze research data with accuracy and attention to detail.
Exhibit independence in adaptation when encountering methodological problems.
Serve as a resource for technicians and assistants; supervise their activities as needed.
May assist in writing and editing grant proposals, research protocols, and data collection documents.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized research environment.
Qualifications
Associate's degree in a related field OR high school diploma or GED and two (2) years of related experience required (work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement).
Compensation Hourly Rate: $16.00
