Position Opening: High School Emotional & Behavioral Disorders (EBD) Teacher

About the Position
Kasson-Mantorville High School is seeking a dedicated, student‑centered EBD Teacher to join our Special Education team for the 2026–2027 school year. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about supporting students with emotional and behavioral regulation needs and committed to creating positive, inclusive learning environments.
The ideal candidate will bring strong skills in building relationships, implementing behavioral supports, collaborating with staff and families, and providing specially designed instruction based on individual IEP goals.
Responsibilities
Provide direct special education instruction and support to students receiving Setting 1, Setting 2, and Setting 3 services.
Implement evidence‑based interventions to support emotional and behavioral regulation.
Develop, implement, and progress monitor IEP goals in collaboration with the special education team.
Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and support development of individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
Collaborate closely with general education teachers, case managers, related service providers, and administration to support student success.
Maintain clear, consistent communication with families and staff.
Utilize de‑escalation strategies and trauma‑informed practices.
Contribute to a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
Participate in professional development and ongoing district training.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
Valid Minnesota Teaching License in Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) or ability to obtain licensure by August 2026.
Strong understanding of due process, special education regulations, and IEP implementation.
