Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is designed for experienced Special Education Teachers ready to make a meaningful impact in K-12 education. Serving students in self-contained classrooms with small caseloads of 6-8 students, educators will provide individualized support and instruction tailored to the unique needs of each learner. The position is a contract role starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 2, 2026, averaging 37.5 hours per week across one building located near Plymouth, MN. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction to K-12 students with diverse learning needs in a self-contained classroom setting. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD). Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students academic and social-emotional development. Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet student goals effectively. Maintain clear documentation and communication with families and school staff. Desired Qualifications: Valid Tier 3 or Tier 4 teaching license in Special Education, specifically in ASD or EBD. Experience working with special education students in K-12 settings. Strong classroom management skills and ability to create an inclusive learning environment. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Commitment to student success and professional collaboration. Location and Schedule: Position based near Plymouth, MN, with work primarily in one school building. Contract role with 37.5 hours per week. Contract duration from ASAP start through June 2, 2026. Benefits and Compensation: Competitive hourly pay ranging from $34 to $37. W2 contract with comprehensive healthcare benefits.
