Job Summary Safely and efficiently assist in the preparation, grading, and excavation of job sites for asphalt paving while maintaining awareness of surroundings at all times and following safety protocols established by Libs Paving Co., Inc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Follow directions from the Libs Paving Management team, Superintendent, and Foremen.

Operate equipment and manual tools under the direction of the Foreman to prepare sites and perform other asphalt paving tasks.

Assist a skid‑steer operator in installing attachments needed for paving jobs.

Assist Foreman and skid‑steer operator in securing skid‑steer to a trailer for transport to and from job sites.

Maintain attention to detail and awareness of surroundings when working near equipment.

Keep prep areas clean of debris in cooperation with operators and foreman.

Follow daily checklist and inspection procedures when driving company vehicles and complete required documentation.

Take precautions to ensure jobs are completed safely for team members and customers.

Operate blower, saw, weed eater, and compactor plate to prepare job sites.

Communicate effectively with team members, listening to ideas, suggestions, and concerns.

Operate Libs Paving equipment as trained and as needed.

Install barricades to maintain site safety as required.

Adhere to all safety rules in the Libs Paving Safety Program.

Keep truck interiors clean while traveling to and from job sites.

Maintain discipline and professionalism as a representative of Libs Paving Co.

Qualifications, Education and Physical Demands

Valid driver’s license preferred.

Pass drug test and maintain a valid COATS card.

Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.

Construction industry experience, knowledge, or training preferred.

Able to regularly lift up to 75 lbs.

Endure high noise levels and various climate conditions, including extreme heat and humidity.

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
