Hours 8:00 to 2:00 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8:30 to 2:30 Thursday
Reports To Food Service Management Building Principal provides direction
Job Goal To assist the administration in providing a quality food service program for the district.
Qualifications
Employee must be able to see and hear; speak, type and write English clearly
Competent in basic computer skills
Demonstrates aptitude and competence for assigned responsibilities
Maintains good personal hygiene and grooming
Attends a Food service Sanitation Course within the first year of employment and passes the test for a sanitation certificate
Physical Requirements
Standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, pulling
Bending, standing and moving for extended periods of time
Ability to lift pans, filled milk cases, etc. up to 45 lbs. on a regular basis
Performance Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Reports to work on time
Demonstrates consistent and reliable attendance
Reads and responds to district/building communications in a timely manner and within any explicitly defined deadlines
Follows Federal, State and Local Requirements regarding Food Safety procedures
Performs tasks necessary to the school lunch program; including set-up, food preparation, cashiering, serving, dish washing and cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities
Maintains good public relations between the cafeteria, students, parents and staff by treating customers in a friendly and helpful manner
Follows safe and sanitary food handling procedures at all times
Understands and accurately uses the Mealtime POS system
Counts and allocates all daily receipts, balance meal counts, prepares bank deposits and other requested reports
Assumes responsibility for checking the equipment is safe and in good working condition and notifies the appropriate authority when repairs or replacements are needed
Implements the district’s Health and Accident/Injury Procedures and Blood borne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan
Supports and implements the district’s Risk Management Policy to ensure that statutory and common law health and safety rights are extended to all visitors, employees, and students, to provide careful supervision and protection of all district real and personal property
Participates in in-service training programs as required by the Director of Food Services or the district administration
Performs additional job related duties as assigned by the building administrator
Terms of Employment Job contingent upon Board approval. Salary and work year determined by Negotiated Agreement between the RTEA and the Board of Education
