Administrative Assistant 4, Law School Student Services [R0149981] University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for this full‑time role based in the William S. Boyd School of Law. The position supports the Assistant Dean of Career Development, the Registrar’s Office, faculty, staff, and students, providing high‑level administrative support, budget preparation and tracking, expense reports, personnel support, data management, reporting, and related duties.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative/program support to professional staff and management.

Perform secretarial duties, coordinate communications between staff and clientele.

Supervise subordinate staff as required.

Research information from internal and external sources.

Compile, store and update department statistics.

Assist in the completion of forms and reports, create memos, oversee the department schedule, travel documents, supplier invoice requests, and expense reports.

Manage J.D. and LL.M. student services procedures and upgrades to the My Boyd Portal and various databases and reporting tools.

Advise and counsel current students and coordinate recruitment travel.

Stand available to the Assistant Dean and Registrar when they are occupied and carry out other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school graduation or equivalent.

Four years of progressively responsible relevant work experience, including experience in administrative support to professional staff and management, secretarial duties in support of a manager, coordination of communications between manager, staff, and program clientele, supervision of subordinate staff, research, or one‑year experience as Administrative Assistant III in Nevada State service.

Equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

Salary Grade 29 Step 1, salary $50,153.76 per year.
