What You’ll Do
Inspect the tractor‑trailer for defects before and after the trip and submit DOT inspection reports.
Verify bill of lading accuracy and maintain keys for off‑hour deliveries.
Drive the tractor‑trailer safely, applying commercial driving regulations and skillful vehicle maneuvering.
Maintain a driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) per DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures, and exceptions.
Unload trailer and deliver product to customer premises.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
At least 21 years of age
Valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL‑A)
At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor‑trailer driving experience
Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk‑rating qualifications
Strong reading, writing, and English communication skills to perform job‑related tasks safely and effectively
