As a Behavior Technician at Total Spectrum, you’ll have the exciting role of helping children with autism learn, grow, and build communication, socialization, and self‑help skills through a play‑based therapy known as applied behavior analysis (ABA).

Location: Sturgis, MI.

Responsibilities

Assist children aged 2–22 with autism and special needs in homes, schools, or centers.

Deliver ABA play‑based therapy to build communication, socialization, and self‑help skills.

Follow treatment plans and collect data as directed.

Collaborate with parents, therapists, and team members.

Qualifications & Requirements

A genuine desire to help children and families reach goals.

Compassion, empathy, enthusiasm, kindness, goodwill, and reliability.

Willingness to learn about autism, learning differences, and ABA.

High School Diploma.

Reliable transportation; valid driver’s license and personal vehicle preferred.

Availability Monday–Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.; primary shift 3:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m.; weekend availability a bonus.

Ability to pass a background check.

Minimum age 18.

Eligibility to work in the United States.

Good physical ability to push, pull, and lift up to 35 pounds; sit on floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run as needed.

Preferred: bilingual (English/Spanish), background in psychology, education, special education, childcare, behavioral health, or related field; prior experience with children in caregiving or educational roles.

Optional: interest in earning RBT certification.
