SkyMark Refuelers is seeking to fill a
Test Bay Technician
position at our Kansas City Facility. As a Test Bay Technician you will play a crucial role in the production of world class refueling equipment used in the aviation industry. Incumbent must have a great attention to detail, technical expertise, and commitment to excellence.
Position Responsibilities
Prior to flow testing our refuelers, inspect completed assembled refuelers to determine if the final assembled units comply with the latest sales releases/sale changes.
Ensure refuelers are 'dry-checked' prior to testing.
Record any non-compliant items into the project file gig sheet and communicate via a printed list of open items to be attached to the unit.
Inspect completed refueler after detailing, and prior to shipment, to ensure all open items are resolved.
Flow test and record all pertinent data required.
OJT trained and will be expected to perform various programming to the truck-chassis and refueling equipment (including refueler's plc, meter registers, tank gauging systems, etc.).
Work directly with customers at our facilities as they witness flow-testing of their refuelers.
Assist our service technicians as they place refuelers into service at our customers' locations.
Travel from time-to-time to assist in in-servicing refuelers and training customers. Travel will generally be no longer than one to two days per occasion.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Inspection of equipment before loading with fuel.
Load fuel, bottom loading shutdown, pre-check test.
Check control systems (interlocks, fueling pressure, electrical, air).
Inspect truck chassis, tank mounting, equipment.
Job Skill Requirements
Automotive/mechanical experience.
Knowledge in electrical, hydraulics, air & fuel pressure control valves, plc’s.
Ability to train other refueler technicians.
Excellent communication skills/customer service.
Ability to read blueprints/ technical drawings.
Trouble shooting skills.
Desire to learn and continuously improve.
Detail / precision oriented.
Minimum 2 years mechanical/heavy equipment background including the use of mechanical tools. Experience with electrical systems, including 12v/24v in addition to the ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics. Possesses own tools and is familiar with shop tools and equipment such as torque wrenches and impact tools.
