The branch leader is responsible for managing all aspects of the assigned branch, including leading, coaching, and managing performance, business development, compliance, risk management, human capital, and operational procedures. The role may also involve teller transactions as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Promote a positive public image in the community and instill Truist’s purpose, mission, and values.

Drive business development and deliver strong team and individual performance across Truist strategy areas such as Small Business, Mass Affluent, Community Heroes, and Integrated Relationship Management.

Drive branch revenue through Small Business and new client strategies, including face‑to‑face appointments, outbound calling, and prospecting.

Participate in civic, government, professional, business, and community groups to grow business and build the Truist brand.

Lead, grow, coach, and motivate teammates to fulfill the purpose, mission, and values for client financial success and team empowerment.

Partner with Integrated Relationship Management and Operations to ensure compliance with bank procedures, internal controls, risk management, and the Truist Code of Ethics.

Handle human capital decisions, including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, performance reviews, ratings, and disciplinary actions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training or experience.

Two years of financial services and consumer/small‑business expertise or equivalent experience and/or performance.

One year of previous branch leadership or management experience.

Strong interpersonal, sales relationship, and prioritization skills.

Strong written and verbal skills.

Compliance with SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act within 30 days of employment, including registration and NMLS background check.

Ability to inspire, lead, and coach others.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Banking.

Graduate of Internal Leadership Development Programs.
