Adjunct Faculty Pool – Chemistry
This role is part of the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) and is located at Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) in Albemarle County. Adjunct faculty are appointed on a course‑by‑course, semester basis. Teaching responsibilities include developmental and/or college‑level courses, including distance‑learning courses during the day, evening, week‑days and weekends.
Responsibilities Primarily face‑to‑face instruction with the possibility of remote instruction. Adapting to course formats and student needs is required.
Qualifications The successful candidate will possess expert skills, knowledge, experience, and education in chemistry and a history of successful teaching or related experience. Minimum education required is a master’s degree in chemistry or a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in chemistry.
Preferred: two years of teaching experience, work experience in the field, and experience with online teaching.
