Doctorate Range: $92.09 to $128.22
Part‑time faculty office hours: $30 per hour.

Scope of Assignment:
The successful candidate will join a Child Development program that continues to create curriculum responsive to student needs, increasing student completion through the implementation of strategies geared to increase student equity.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s in child development, early childhood education, human development, home economics/family and consumer studies with a specialization in child development/early childhood education or educational psychology with a specialization in child development/early childhood education OR Bachelor’s in any of the above AND Master’s in social work, educational supervision, elementary education, special education, psychology, bilingual/bicultural education, life management/home economics, family life studies or family and consumer studies OR the equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to effectively work with persons of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.

Recent experience working with African American/Black, Hispanic, Native American, and other minoritized students; understanding of historical exclusion patterns.
Willingness to examine and remediate instructional, relational, and classroom practices to support racially minoritized students.
Experience addressing equity in the classroom and culturally responsive teaching.
Demonstrated ability to address equity gaps within coursework.
Demonstrated knowledge of the Hispanic-Serving designation for institutional, departmental, and instructional practices.
Physical and Mental Standards
Mobility: ability to sit or stand for long periods, move about an office, reach above/below desk level.
Dexterity: fine manipulation sufficient to operate a keyboard, handle papers, write, and take notes.
Lifting: occasional lifting of papers, files, equipment and material up to 25 pounds.
Visual Requirements: close vision sufficient to read files, documents, and screens; ability to adjust focus frequently.
Hearing/Talking: ability to hear normal speech, speak and hear on the telephone, and speak in person.
Emotional/Psychological: make decisions, concentrate; frequent contact with others including public contact; frequent deadlines and time‑limited assignments.
Example of Duties / Responsibilities
Teaching lower‑division college courses in Child Development.
Advancing equitable student learning through dedicated and exemplary instruction.
Informing students of course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance requirements.
Preparing and grading class assignments and examinations; informing students of academic progress.
Maintaining attendance, scholastic, and other records and submitting them per published policies.
Developing, implementing, and assessing student‑learning outcomes and using results for improvement.
Engaging in data inquiry and self‑assessment to develop strategies for student success, persistence, and equity.
Participating in professional development activities to fulfill mandatory FLEX requirements.
Maintaining current knowledge in the subject area and effective teaching/learning strategies.
Maintaining appropriate professional conduct and ethics standards.
