role in the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. This position supports projects related to natural resources, recreation, and conservation grants, directly impacting local communities across the Commonwealth.
Responsibilities
Act as a Project Manager overseeing a diverse range of grant projects focused on natural resource management, recreational development, and conservation planning within designated regions.
Coordinate, evaluate, approve, and manage grant projects to ensure alignment with established goals and standards.
Provide technical assistance, outreach, and educational initiatives to promote sustainable practices and enhance community awareness regarding natural resource conservation.
Collaborate with stakeholders to promote sustainable practices and community engagement.
Qualifications
One year as a Recreation and Conservation Advisor 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent federal government job title).
Two years of professional experience in parks, recreation, or natural resource conservation administration, planning, or development, and a bachelor’s degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Must meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.
Must be able to perform essential job functions.
Benefits & Telework
Full-time employment with work hours 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with a 60‑minute lunch.
Telework opportunity: work from home part‑time up to 5 days per pay period (high‑speed internet required). Telework subject to change.
Salary: the starting salary may be non‑negotiable.
