Building Attendant II – Part Time (First Shift – Weekends – Dobie Center)
University Unions, part of the Division of Student Affairs, is seeking a motivated Building Attendant II to support a variety of campus spaces including meeting rooms, dining operations, and recreational facilities.
Responsibilities
Maintain the area immediately outside the facility, keeping it neat and clean.
Assist with floor care, including shampooing carpets, scrubbing, and stripping and finishing floors.
Clean, stock, and maintain male and female restrooms.
Assist with room set‑ups and breakdowns for special events.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and remove trash throughout the facility.
Follow job requirements and direction from building supervisors.
Use proper cleaning materials and equipment, adhering to required safety protocols.
Perform other duties as assigned by building supervisors.
Required Qualifications Experience in custodial, environmental services, hospitality, warehouse, production, or facilities maintenance. Ability to follow basic work instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
High school graduation or GED.
Six months or more experience in one of the above fields.
Demonstrated communication with supervisors and peers in a timely and effective manner.
Experience using industrial‑size custodial equipment.
Ability to read and understand work orders, written instructions, product labels, and other written job materials.
Demonstrated willingness to be an effective team member.
Salary Range $17.41 Per Hour
Working Conditions
Uniforms and personal protection equipment provided.
May work in all weather conditions.
May work around chemical fumes and chemicals.
Climbing of stairs and ladders.
Lifting and moving of heavy items.
