Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office is currently hiring for the following positions: Jail Deputy Patrol Deputy Criminal Investigator The Rockingham County Sheriff's Office is a full service law enforcement agency. The Sheriff employs approximately 170 full-time and part-time deputies to provide services in the areas of Corrections, Operations, Investigations, and Administrative Services. The application process includes an interview, background investigation, polygraph examination, psychological screening, drug screening, medical examination, and review by the Sheriff.
