The Role: As a
Banquet Houseperson , you are the behind-the-scenes backbone of our events team. You’ll be responsible for the setup, breakdown, and overall readiness of event spaces, ensuring each function looks flawless and runs smoothly. This hands‑on role involves moving furniture and equipment, assisting with event logistics, and supporting the service team before, during, and after events.
What we will ask of you:
Set up banquet spaces according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), including tables, chairs, linens, and equipment.
Assist with staging, décor placement, and ensuring the event space is polished and guest‑ready.
Perform light cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep event spaces pristine.
Ensure storage and service areas are organized and stocked with necessary supplies.
Support banquet servers during events by replenishing supplies, clearing items, and resetting as needed.
Break down banquet setups post‑event in an organized and efficient manner.
Reset rooms for future events as directed by the Banquet Captain or Events Manager.
Assist in handling rental equipment, deliveries, or vendor items.
Work closely with the Banquet Captain, servers, and event team to ensure smooth operations.
Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and property standards.
Communicate any issues, damages, or concerns to management promptly.
Requirements for Success:
Have a positive energy, be ready to assist fellow support staff and work as a team player
Be 18 years of age or older and at least one year of prior restaurant, events, hospitality or relevant experience
Ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees, and all guests
A flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
Constant standing/walking with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting
Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
