Home2 Suites is looking for a Front Desk Agent that will be responsible for providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests prior to arrival and throughout their stay, while maximizing suite revenue and occupancy.

Responsibilities

Provideattentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests prior to arrivaland throughout their stay.

Handlecheck-ins and check-outs in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner.

Respondto all guests’ requests, problems, complaints and/or accidents presentedat the front desk or through reservations in an attentive, courteous andefficient manner. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.

Answerall guest inquiries (i.e. hotel services and amenities, the area, etc.).

Ensuredelivery of packages, mail and messages as needed to guests.

Followall Lexima/Brand credit policies.

Be aware of all rates, packages, and specialpromotions.

Be familiar with all in house groups.

Be aware of closed out and restricted dates.

Obtainall necessary information when taking room reservations and follow ratequoting guidelines.

Fullyunderstand and be able to operate all relevant aspects of the front deskcomputer system.

Focus onhis/her role in contributing to guest satisfaction surveys.

Demonstrateappropriate phone skills.

UseLexima/brand selling guidelines as part of the inquiry call process.

Consistentlyperform above average in the mystery call process.

Followup on all wait list reservations.

Managesuite inventory.

Completeshift responsibility checklist.

Keepfront office area clean and organized.

Complyat all times with Lexima/Brand compliance standards and regulations toencourage safe and efficient hotel operations

Participatein all-employee meetings, events and other functions required bymanagement.

Befamiliar with all Lexima/Brand policies and hotel rules, as well as hotelterminology.

Developfull understanding of hotel amenities and services.

Understandemergency procedures and be prepared to help when necessary.

Operateradios efficiently and professionally in communicating with the hotelstaff.

Ensurecorrect and accurate cash handling while at the front desk.

Useproper radio etiquette when communicating with other employees.

Performany other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

Highschool diploma or equivalent required.

A degreewith an emphasis in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management and/orrelated fields preferred.

Previoushospitality experience preferred.

Knowledgeof accounting principles.

Experiencehandling cash, accounting procedures and general administrative tasks.

Musthave the ability to assimilate complex information and data from disparatesources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of theparticular need.

Must beeffective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipation,preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.

Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations.

Must beeffective at listening to, understanding, clarifying and resolving theconcerns and issues raised by clients, guests and co-workers.

Must beeffective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipation,preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.

Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.

Effectiveoral and written communication skills.

Weekendsand Holidays are required.

Musthave a valid driver’s license.

Must befluent in English.

Physical Requirements

Frequentlyrequired to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, toolsor controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop,kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, or hear.

Occasionallylift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Specificvision abilities required by the job include close vision, distancevision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the abilityto adjust focus.

Abilityto stand during the entire shift.
