Salary Range: $20.00 - $21.50 Hourly
The receptionist serves as the warm and welcoming presence of our parish, greeting visitors and callers with kindness and professionalism. This role provides essential clerical support while actively contributing to the Church’s mission of guiding individuals to know and follow Jesus Christ.
This position requires an organized and self-motivated individual with experience working with Microsoft Office, email communication, and internet navigation. Interpersonal skills are essential, including the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately in person, over the phone, via email, and in written correspondence. As this role may involve handling sensitive and confidential information, a high level of discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality is imperative.
ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES
Welcome and provide hospitality to office visitors and parishioners, creating a warm and professional environment.
Respond to parish phone calls and manage inquiries received in a professional manner, ensuring timely and helpful communication.
Provides general information for people calling or visiting the parish. Refers people to social agencies when appropriate.
Maintain general cleanliness within office environment and updates parish bulletin boards as needed.
Opens and distributes incoming mail and ensures the mailing of outgoing mail.
Qualifications
Strong receptionist and general office experience.
Organizational skills, with ability to multi-task.
Experience with MS Office 365 tools (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, and SharePoint).
Attention to detail.
Ability to handle and respect confidential and sensitive information.
Education and Experience
Fluency of English and Spanish both verbal and written necessary.
2-years work experience in an office setting.
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
