Representative Duties Staff part‑time adjunct positions as needed for the 2025‑2026 academic year.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in the language being taught, or
Bachelor’s degree in the language being taught AND a Master’s in another language or linguistics (or the equivalent).
Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Degrees and credits must be from accredited institutions (Title V Section 53406).
Foreign degrees must be evaluated by a service recognized by NACES or ACEI.
Application will be screened by a committee; meeting minimum qualifications does not guarantee an interview.
Knowledge & Abilities
Work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues in an environment promoting innovation, teaching, learning, and service to a diverse student population
Work effectively with students with a wide range of skills, motivations, and academic goals
Develop curriculum, including curriculum delivered via different modalities
Participate in recruitment and articulation activities with local schools, colleges, and universities
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Maintain subject‑matter currency
Assess student learning outcomes
Use computers and explore new technologies that benefit the program
Commit to the California community college mission
