Responsibilities

Understand and practice our mission, values, and objectives

Cuts, weighs, or measures ingredients according to provided instructions

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards

Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

Prevent spoilage of ingredients through proper storage in designated containers and areas

Monitor the temperature of food and food storage areas

Clean, sanitize, and maintain cleanliness of work areas, surfaces, utensils, equipment, and dishes

Adhere to all food handling and safety regulations throughout the kitchen and restaurant

Wash all wares including pots, pans, flatware, and glasses

Correctly place and store clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Experience cooking over high heat using a sauté pan

Skilled in building dishes with multiple layers consistently

Ability to prepare multiple high-quality dishes with speed and precision

High skill in preparing sauces and ingredients

Great listening skills with an eagerness to follow directions

Ability to work well as part of a team and independently, maintaining a high level of accountability

Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment

Desired Qualifications

Ability to lead and direct while cultivating a healthy and collaborative team environment

Job Expectations for All

Stand for prolonged periods of time and handle products, tools, paperwork, and equipment

May be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat, steam, and cold present in a kitchen environment and may be required to work with cleaning chemicals

May inhale smoke from a wood burning cooker

Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with a team
