Steward/Dishwasher – JACK Entertainment

Perform all back‑of‑house dishwashing tasks, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and support kitchen operations in a fast‑paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare tableware for washing (scrape plates, pre‑soak silver, rack items).

Set up and monitor the dishwashing machine (drain closed tanks, maintain correct detergent levels).

Wash dishes, stack and store china in the appropriate kitchen area.

Clean dishwashing equipment and working areas thoroughly.

Collect all soiled pots, wash, and restack cleaned pots on shelves.

Remove all garbage and refuse.

Replace and remove all fryer oil.

Maintain kitchen floor (mop, sweep).

Sanitize all cooking equipment.

Adhere to all regulatory, company, and department policies and procedures.

Complete all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Back‑of‑house restaurant experience preferred.

Must work independently; sit, stand, or walk for long periods (4 hours).

Must respond calmly and make rational decisions during employee conflicts.

Must maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor (minimum 20 steps or escalator).

Must lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel.

Must tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises, and bright lights.

Must work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Must read, write, speak, and understand English.

Must have a neat and clean appearance.
