Agricultural Technician I (Seasonal) Under the general supervision of the Senior Environmental Scientist Supervisor, the Agricultural Technician will support the program’s administrative needs. The incumbent will assist in a wide variety of tasks including answering telephone calls, providing customer service, performing data entry, and maintaining records of various documents. Knowledge or the willingness to learn Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access is highly desirable. Effective communication and written skills are essential.
Responsibilities
Review new applications, renewals, and fees submitted for Licenses to Sell Nursery Stock for accuracy, completeness, and input licensing data. Maintain the database to provide program and license information to applicants, county agricultural commissioners, and the public.
Aid in preparing paperwork for purchasing supplies, equipment, and forms.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge or willingness to learn Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
Effective communication and written skills.
Working Conditions The duties of this position are primarily conducted indoors. The primary workstation is furnished with modular office furniture, a computer, telephone, and filing drawers.
