Salary: $18.30 – $21.87 per hour (minimum salary for new-to-state candidates applies)
Location: San Bernardino County, in‑office (telework not offered) Employment Type: Non‑Tenured, Intermittent (temporary)

Job Description & Duties The Animal Health Branch protects public health, animal agriculture, and the economy from catastrophic animal diseases. Under the supervision of a Veterinarian, the Agricultural Technician I will perform a variety of office and field functions to support emergency animal disease responses:
Field support to control animal pests and diseases
Data entry and management to aid the control of animal pests and diseases
Additional duties are outlined in the attached duty statement.
Minimum Requirements
Valid California Driver’s License (CDL) – provide number, class, expiration date, endorsements and restrictions on application
Meet the minimum qualifications listed in the Classification Specification (see attached document)
Working Conditions Work is conducted both indoors and outdoors, with occasional work under difficult conditions. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. Medical evaluation and annual fit testing for respiratory protective equipment are required. Follow CDFA employee health and safety policies. Refer to the duty statement for detailed working conditions.
