Requirements Job Title: Snow Removal Technician

Department: Property Maintenance

Status: Seasonal (FT & PT)

Reporting To: Property Maintenance Senior Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and skilled Snow Removal Technician to join our team at Powder Haven Property Management team (PHPM). The ideal candidate will be responsible for the effective and professional removal of snow and ice, ensuring the safety and comfort of residents, rental guests, and visitors. This role requires an individual who can work in extreme winter conditions, handle equipment properly, and interact positively with our community.

Key Responsibilities

Snow and Ice Management: Expertly apply salt to sidewalks, patios, porches, steps, and other high‑traffic areas, ensuring proper opening, closing, and storage of all salt bags.

Shoveling and Clearing: Enter homes to shovel decks and remove snow from patio/deck furniture, ensuring pathways are safe and accessible.

Professional Interaction: Maintain a professional demeanor when working in and around homes, rental properties, and while interacting with homeowners and guests.

Cold Weather Preparedness: Work in extremely cold temperatures, with the ability to dress appropriately and maintain safety in cold and wet conditions.

Tool Management: Use company‑standard tools, including shovels, ice chippers, and salt, for effective snow and ice removal. Choose the appropriate snow shovel for different situations to maximize efficiency and safety.

Guest Engagement: Be friendly and engaging with guests of Powder Mountain, embodying a

welcoming and helpful spirit.

Appearance Standards: Adhere to Powder Haven Property Management’s appearance guidelines to maintain a professional and consistent look while on duty.

Requirements and/or Qualifications

Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older

Experience in snow removal and knowledge of different shovels and tools for specific tasks.

Ability to work outdoors in harsh winter conditions for extended periods.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safe and clear walkways and surfaces.

Good communication skills and a friendly, customer‑service‑oriented attitude.

Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

Must be dependable, punctual, and available during snowfall or adverse weather events

Safely operate snow blowers (after training). Must be 18+ years of age to operate equipment.

Work weekends and holidays

Experience with Hydronic snow melt and heat tape systems is a plus

Work well as a team member

Physical Requirements – Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to:

Reach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects that may be heavy (50+lbs)

Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and twisting

Vision requirements – close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception

Walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain.

Climb/descend stairs.

Manual dexterity to operate manual tools and power equipment on a constant basis.

Safely handle hazardous materials

Desire to work at 9,000ft in inclement weather.

Stand for up to 8 hours per shift.

Working Environment: This role requires working outdoors in cold, icy, and snowy conditions, often in the early morning or late at night. Proper winter attire and equipment will be essential for maintaining safety and comfort.
