POSITION OVERVIEW
To help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, responsible citizens. This position follows the Year‑Round district calendar. TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute lesson plans for designated courses based on state and district curriculum guidelines. Use relevant technology to grow and enhance instruction. Use evaluations to assess individual student learning styles and academic growth. Implement differentiation strategies to meet students’ learning needs. Maintain online student records (i.e., attendance, grades, work). Follow IEPs, 504s, and other required accommodations. Partner with staff to identify and address student educational, societal, and learning needs as they present. Maintain good classroom management. Work with fellow educators within the same grade level and/or subject area to keep all grade level students at same learning pace. Maintain and keep current with developments in educating students through ongoing professional development. Maintain a professional attitude with students, parents, and staff. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field Valid Connecticut certification (001, 002, 003, 005, 013, 305) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
