POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate 7th Grade Science Teacher to join our middle school team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and rigorous instruction in science, covering core content areas while fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning. The teacher will support student growth and achievement during scheduled classes and collaborate with colleagues to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district and state science standards.
* Create a classroom environment that encourages active learning, inquiry, and exploration.
* Use assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
* Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and progress reports.
* Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to promote student success.
* Uphold school policies and foster a safe, respectful, and supportive classroom culture.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in Education
* Valid teaching certification with endorsement in Science/grade level
* Strong classroom management skills
* Effective communication and collaboration skills
SALARY: As determined by professional experience and NLEA Contract.
