Responsibilities

Field observations at jobsites in the region

Sampling and testing of construction materials (soil, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, structural steel)

Prepare accurate daily logs outlining inspections and test results

Daily communication with PM or Operations Manager regarding project progress or contractor communications

Requirements

Reliable vehicle for field work, valid driver’s license, and satisfactory driving record

Ability to meet additional pre‑employment criteria

Ability to lift and/or move up to 60‑80 pounds

Ability to work in all outdoor climates and various terrains

Attention to detail and quality while adhering to all safety requirements

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Use of company‑provided tablet and working knowledge of MS Office

Ability to perform basic math and use measurement tools

With training, ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Hiring preference will be given to experienced technicians with verifiable certifications such as ACI, NICET, WACEL, etc.
