Production Brewer - Great Southern Beverages
We are looking for a Production Brewer to join Brewbound at Great Southern Beverages. The role reports directly to the Chief Manufacturing Officer.
Responsibilities
Daily direct interaction with the Quality team to oversee fermentation, approve products and give direction on corrective actions.
Lead process improvement, support SOP and process development, develop individual product SOPs.
Lead safety initiatives with EHS manager, cascading and escalating safety concerns, training and information.
Support department leads to ensure thorough training of all brewers per the SOPs and established best practices.
Act as primary point of contact for clients to translate or develop processes specific to their products.
Work with project manager and recipe specialist to develop and approve client recipes for new products, scaled to our systems.
Include scaling client recipes, drafting and confirmation of recipes with clients, adjustments and redrafting, price accommodation and follow up with our project manager.
Support brewing teams as a facilitator, following up with other teams on status of inputs affecting schedule attainment.
Execute follow-through of priorities established by Brewing Director.
Covers all emerging needs for the brewhouse and cellar.
Escalate observed needs and propose solutions to meet them.
Ensure proper documentation throughout brewing.
Enforce completeness, add new items as needed or prescribed by Brewing Director.
Problem solving and decision making support with all brewing teams daily.
Primary conduit to escalation, cascade and address maintenance needs.
Primary contact for BH raw materials, interact with suppliers to respond to all needs and concerns regarding raw materials.
Lead brewing team, manage personnel issues and accountability as a team with leads and Brewing Director.
Qualifications Production Brewer must have a minimum of 1 year experience in a production brewery environment producing 10,000 bbl+ per year. Diverse experience and strong aptitude with semi-automated equipment is also plus.
Required Skills & Abilities
Ability to lift 55 lbs and move 165 lbs, as needed.
Ability to stand for an extended period of time.
Proficient in MS Office.
Basic troubleshooting skills in a brewing/manufacturing setting.
Understand mechanically brewing equipment and perform basic maintenance.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Time management skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
