Grounds Technician – Part Time
Location: Reserve at Decatur (39 units Senior Community), Decatur, TX
Position type: Part‑time, 24 hours/week
Pay Range: $18 /hour, with a culture of transparency.
Job Overview: As a Porter at Pivotal Housing Partners, you will provide high‑quality service to residents, maintaining the physical integrity of the community and ensuring a safe, secure environment.
Key Responsibilities
Physically walk the property frequently, removing litter, debris, and pet droppings from common grounds including the community/welcome center, pond area, recreation areas, road adjacent grounds, walkways, parking lots, and drives.
Perform “trash‑out” duties at vacated units, removing abandoned furniture and other debris.
Detail property regularly and perform routine maintenance on request from Supervisor or Property Manager.
Assist with various physical tasks such as tearing down fences, digging potholes, and executing make‑ready duties.
Maintain storage areas, perform exterior painting duties when requested, and complete minor and routine service requests.
Distribute resident communications and tools (rakes, sweeps, shovels) as necessary.
Requirements
1+ year of related experience.
Ability to work independently, maintain a positive, service‑oriented demeanor, and manage shifting priorities.
