Position Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Chiller Technician to join our fast‑growing team. The ideal candidate will have a can‑do attitude, strong problem‑solving skills, and an active EPA Certification.
Job Responsibilities
Perform routine and unscheduled maintenance and repair of commercial systems including air‑cooled chillers, centrifugal chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air handler units, valves, fan coil units, variable air volume systems, etc.
Diagnose and repair machine and equipment defects including electronic, mechanical, and electrical components related to these systems.
Inspect and test system components to ensure proper operation, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, general servicing, and troubleshooting of mechanical HVAC systems.
Assist in installing, retrofitting, and commissioning commercial chiller systems and related HVAC equipment.
Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to assess and repair HVAC systems.
Provide high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on‑site customer interface.
Service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial/industrial chiller and refrigeration equipment.
Be comfortable and knowledgeable in electrical components, timers, contactors, relays.
Adhere to safety protocols and comply with regulatory requirements related to HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Accountabilities
Continual learning and development in the body of knowledge through FirstCall Academy, ensuring industry‑level skill.
Provide elite customer service, maintaining FirstCall as the go‑to HVAC provider for customers.
Organizational Alignment This position reports to the local Branch Manager and is responsible for engaging with the service team and all customers.
Qualifications
Valid Driver License with an acceptable driving record.
Active EPA Certification.
2+ years of experience in a commercial HVAC setting with chillers.
OSHA 10 certification preferred.
Technical training in HVAC or Refrigeration preferred.
Available to work flexible hours and on‑call shifts as needed.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
Behavioral Profile Strong communication, basic mathematics, reasoning, and physical demands as outlined in the original description.
