Summary The Senior Transportation Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting clients within the city of Gunnison to appointments, and/or activities. You will provide a valuable service to the Senior population in our community to help foster independent living.
Health System Overview Gunnison Valley Health is the sole community-owned health system for Gunnison County and surrounding areas. We are not just a hospital, but a fully integrated health system providing services for all stages of life; from a newly renovated Family Birth Center, to a 52,000 square foot, state of the art senior care center and everything in between. Requirements
Education – High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 18 years old
Experience – Previous driving experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications – Must have a current, valid Colorado Drivers license. Will be trained in transfers and first aid upon hire.
Shift – Day Schedule – Shifts might be scheduled Monday – Sunday.
Status – Temporary/Part time.
Hours – 8 to 32 hours a week depending on the schedule.
Compensation – $18.00 - $19.55/hr, depending on experience.
Physical Requirements Occasionally: Standing, walking, sitting, reach across midline, pinching, crouching/squatting, stairs, lifting (0-20 lbs), carrying (0-20 lbs), pushing/pulling (20 - 50 lbs).
Frequently: Sitting, reaching, handling.
Continuously: See with corrective eyewear, hear clearly with assistance.
