Overview
Event Services is a growing department whose primary function is to assure the events hosted by Utah State University, "Exceed Expectations." The primary purpose of this position is to support the Central Reservations Manager.
Responsibilities Application Support for USU's Event Management System (Coursedog Events):
Add, review, and verify data for deficiencies, errors, or expired information
Assist with special projects that can require large amounts of data entry
Application configuration as needed
Generate reports and collect data on an ad hoc basis
Application Troubleshooting:
Resolve support requests from students, faculty, and staff
Use strong oral communication skills of technical concepts to gather information from users
Understand software and applications for troubleshooting common issues

Qualifications Minimum:
Proven success with customer service support to multiple users with competing deadlines
Proven success with basic organizational skills, time management skills, situational problem solving, written and oral communication skills
Ability to work between 20-29 hours during office hours (Monday- Friday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm), with the flexibility to work a varied schedule when necessary.
Can operate common office equipment like computers, phones, scanners and printers
Preferred:
Can understand commonly used applications (Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, etc)
Can think analytically, identifying warning signs for potential issues
Can provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with team members, students, staff, and other customersCan work independently

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
