MAHASKA COUNTY YMCA
The Mahaska County YMCA is now accepting applications for a full-time Food Service Staff member to join our Early Learning team. This role plays a key part in supporting the nutritional health, safety, and daily routines of the children in our care. We’re looking for someone dependable, caring, and committed to creating a positive experience for every child.
What You’ll Do
Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks in alignment with YMCA standards and health regulations
Support the nutritional wellbeing and safety of all children enrolled in our child care program
Model healthy habits, positive behavior, and the YMCA core values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring
Collaborate with the Early Learning Director to maintain a welcoming, safe, and high‑quality environment for children and families
Demonstrate leadership and teamwork in all aspects of food service operations

Ability to read and follow instructions, procedures, and manuals
Reliability and strong work ethic
Must successfully pass a background check
