Machine Operator - 3rd Shift
Service Wire Company, a premier supplier of industrial and utility wire and cable, is seeking a Machine Operator for the 3rd shift in Phoenix, AZ. The position requires availability from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am.
Position Summary Machine Operators prepare and set up production machines, operate manufacturing machinery, monitor wire quality, record fabrication data, and transport materials via forklift.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare and set up machine for production by positioning the payoff, feeder, and take-up.
Operate the machinery by adjusting and maintaining production controls according to specifications.
Monitor the quality of wire during production and the finished product.
Perform routine lubrication of machinery parts and minor preventative maintenance.
Observe machine operation for equipment malfunction and report immediately.
Record detailed daily production data.
Maintain safety standards and a clean work environment.
Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications/Requirements
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent industrial experience.
Strong basic math and measuring skills.
Ability to read, comprehend, and respond to general instructions, direction, and correspondence.
Cooperative relationship with manufacturing department and other employees.
Ability to work in hot and cold environments without climate control.
In-person attendance is an essential job function.
Shift Schedule Sunday–Thursday 11:00 pm–7:30 am. $1.50 /hr shift differential offered.
