Semiconductor Engineering Technician – 1st Shift

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced
Engineering Technician
to join our team at
Applied Materials
in Gloucester. This role involves working on
semiconductor capital equipment
in a
cleanroom environment , performing advanced troubleshooting and calibrations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform
HV electrical ,
high vacuum , and
mechanical troubleshooting .
Modify/rebuild modules, calibrate systems, measure particulates, conduct metals testing, and perform demonstrations.
Execute
mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing
on AMAT equipment per engineering and manufacturing specifications.
Assemble, integrate, and calibrate semiconductor capital equipment, including plasma etch platforms and Ion Implanters (High Current, Medium Current, PLAD).
Work autonomously within established procedures and communicate effectively using tact and diplomacy.
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment, following all
OSHA safety standards
and PPE requirements.
Qualifications
Education:
Associate degree preferred; minimum high school diploma.
Experience:
4–7 years technician training/experience in a high‑tech environment.
2–3 years semiconductor experience required.
VCS training on VIISta tools a plus.
Strong understanding of
electrical circuitry .
Ability to travel as needed.
Estimated Rate Hourly: $30 – $35
