Pay Range The Packaging Machine Operator-1 base pay range: $21 USD plus shift differential/hourly. The rate is determined by qualifications, experience, and performance. The position is eligible for comprehensive benefits and up to a 5% discretionary bonus. The company complies with all wage laws.
Required Skills
Ability to work in a high‑stress, fast‑paced environment with multiple changeovers.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Basic math and color‑recognition ability.
Reading and interpreting thermometers, SOPs, and safety procedures.
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and USDA/FDA‑HACCP standards awareness.
Communication skills in English (speaking, writing, reading). Spanish language preferred.
Safety and quality awareness, ability to follow company standards and conduct.
Basic machine operation: pallet jack, case packaging equipment, and other retail packaging equipment.
Job Summary This position supports the Packaging Lead/Supervisor in meeting daily production requirements while maintaining continuous flow of finished goods. The operator follows OSHA safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, and all customer product specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities
Adhere to Food Safety, Sanitation, GMP, and USDA requirements.
Read, comprehend, and follow safety procedures, SOPs, and work instructions.
Hand‑form finished goods cases, retail bases, lids, cups, lidding, sleeve application, and taping.
Manually apply labels and palletize finished goods.
Operate pallet jack safely.
Execute quality checks and HACCP paperwork.
Perform sanitation of all equipment in the packaging area.
Assist with additional manual duties (e.g., spiral loader, spiral exit, lowerator).
