Inspect and diagnose pump systems to identify mechanical issues and determine repair requirements. Disassemble pumps and rotating equipment for evaluation and repair. Perform precision repairs and component replacements, including bearings, seals, shafts, and impellers. Conduct alignment and balancing of rotating assemblies to ensure optimal performance. Execute preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals for accurate repairs. Utilize precision measuring tools (micrometers, dial indicators, etc.) to verify tolerances and specifications. Document all service activities using Microsoft Office tools, including repair reports, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot complex equipment issues. Provide field service support, including on‑site repairs and installations, as required. Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety and quality standards. Education & Knowledge
Minimum 10 years of experience as a full‑time lead mechanic specializing in pump service and repair across multiple brands and technologies. Proven ability to service centrifugal, positive displacement, and specialty pumps in industrial applications. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and rotating equipment principles. Proficiency in precision measurement and alignment techniques. Experience with pump performance testing and troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and apply OEM specifications. Familiarity with industrial safety standards and best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) for documentation and reporting. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for field service assignments. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in rotating equipment or pump repair preferred. Seniority Level
