Stainless Piping Specialists
Job Title: General Machine Operator (Fabrication)
Stainless Piping Specialists is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a general machine operator with fabrication duties, including training and advancement opportunities that include Laser machine operation. This is a 1st shift position, working 6am to 2:30pm (Monday through Friday).
Pay Range Base pay: $21.00/hr - $24.00/hr. (Actual pay will be based on skills and experience; talk with recruiter.)
Summary / Objective The machine operator / Fabrication position safely performs cutting, grinding, laser cutting, etc., for a variety of Stainless Pipe configurations.
Essential Functions
Perform typical fabrication and cutting operations.
Select proper cutting programs.
Establish proper stop location, cut condition adjustments as needed.
Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.
Perform prescribed operator maintenance.
Perform dimensional inspections.
Detect and report defective materials to supervisor.
May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require.
Load equipment with raw material using the overhead crane and/or forklift to prepare the equipment for an accurate cut.
Education and Experience
1 year of manufacturing experience.
1 year of fabrication and machine operation preferred.
Blueprint reading.
Organizational skills.
Physical Demands
Standing, walking, bending throughout shift, including lifting and/or moving items up to 50 pounds.
